针对高速公路护栏的评价主要依据裂缝情况、基本尺寸、变形情况、固定及搭接等情况对外观指标进行评价。
（1）护栏基本尺寸的评价。对护栏基本尺寸的测量主要包括护栏板厚度、立柱壁厚度、立柱壁长度和基地金属厚度，其中立柱壁厚度可以通过测量工具测量获取，立柱长度可以采用拉线的方式获取，基地金属厚度、护栏板厚度可以采用千分尺测量，之后将所测量出的数据与相应的规范及标准进行对比，若一项超出规范和标准值，那么则应减去3分。
(1) e valuation of the basic dimensions of guardrail. The measurements of basic sizes of guardrails mainly include the thickness of guardrails, the thickness of column walls, the length of column walls and the thickness of base metals. The thickness of column walls can be measured by measuring tools, the length of columns can be obtained by pulling wires, the thickness of base metals and guardrails can be measured by micrometers, and then the thickness of base metals and guardrails can be measured by micrometers. Comparing the measured data with the corresponding specifications and standards, if one item exceeds the specifications and standards, then 3 points should be subtracted.
（2）护栏裂缝评价。对于护栏能否再利用来说，护栏外观上的裂缝也是对其进行有效评价的关键指标，包括立柱顶部开裂、边缘开裂两项。当护栏出现开裂情况时，可以采用直尺的方式进行裂缝长度的测量，若所测的裂缝长度处于10～20毫米之间时称为轻微裂缝，若裂缝大于10毫米时应该减去2分。
（2）hù lán liè féng píng jià 。duì yú hù lán néng fǒu zài lì yòng lái shuō ，hù lán wài guān shàng de liè féng yě shì duì qí jìn háng yǒu xiào píng jià de guān jiàn zhǐ biāo ，bāo kuò lì zhù dǐng bù kāi liè 、biān yuán kāi liè liǎng xiàng 。dāng hù lán chū xiàn kāi liè qíng kuàng shí ，kě yǐ cǎi yòng zhí chǐ de fāng shì jìn háng liè féng zhǎng dù de cè liàng ，ruò suǒ cè de liè féng zhǎng dù chù yú 10～20háo mǐ zhī jiān shí chēng wéi qīng wēi liè féng ，ruò liè féng dà yú 10háo mǐ shí yīng gāi jiǎn qù 2fèn 。
（3）焊接。对护栏焊接的评价需要通过对焊接缝是不是存在裂纹进行目测，然后再通过超声探伤仪进行裂缝宽度的测量，若存在裂纹则应该减去2分。
(3) welding. The e valuation of guardrail welding requires visual inspection of whether there is a crack in the weld seam, and then measurement of crack width by ultrasonic flaw detector. If there is a crack, 2 points should be subtracted.
（4）护栏固定及搭接情况。对护栏固定及搭接情况进行评价的内容涉及搭接方向、护栏板螺栓锈蚀程度等。若锈蚀面积超过40%，则应在总分的基础上减去2分。
（4）hù lán gù dìng jí dā jiē qíng kuàng 。duì hù lán gù dìng jí dā jiē qíng kuàng jìn háng píng jià de nèi róng shè jí dā jiē fāng xiàng 、hù lán bǎn luó shuān xiù shí chéng dù děng 。ruò xiù shí miàn jī chāo guò 40%，zé yīng zài zǒng fèn de jī chǔ shàng jiǎn qù 2fèn 。
（5）护栏变形评价。护栏变形评价主要是对护栏立柱垂直、协调性情况进行目测，然后采用直尺、拉线等方式对护栏板的竖直度、顺直度进行测量，其竖直度要控制在±10内，顺直度应该控制在±5内，若超出则需要减掉5分。
(5) e valuation of guardrail deformation. The e valuation of guardrail deformation is mainly to visualize the vertical and coordinated situation of the guardrail column, and then to measure the verticality and straightness of the guardrail board by means of ruler and cable. Its verticality should be controlled within (+) 10, its straightness should be controlled within (+) 5, and if it exceeds, it needs to be reduced by 5 points.
